We offer convenient in-pharmacy testing and treatment for the following common illnesses:

  • Influenza (flu)
  • Strep throat
  • COVID-19

Patients must be 18 years old or older. After completing a brief health assessment, the pharmacist will review your symptoms, medical history, and other factors to determine if testing and treatment are appropriate for you.

You are not eligible if you are

  • under 18 years old,
  • pregnant,
  • immunocompromised, or
  • on supplemental oxygen.

Additional eligibility criteria may apply. Your pharmacist will determine if testing is appropriate based on your health status and symptoms.

This service is available at select pharmacy locations. Please call your local pharmacy to confirm availability.

Yes. Testing for flu, strep, and COVID-19 is available year-round, based on availability and local demand.

Appointments are encouraged to ensure availability and reduce wait time. You may schedule an appointment with the pharmacy either in person or by phone. Appointments cannot be made online at this time. Walk-ins will be accommodated based on staffing and availability.

Come in as soon as you start feeling symptoms. Some medications, like those used to treat the flu, work best if started within the first 48 hours of illness, so the sooner you’re seen, the better.

You can schedule an appointment by calling or visiting your local pharmacy.

For cash-based payment, estimated fees are as follows:

  • COVID-19 test + assessment: approximately $110
  • Flu test + assessment: approximately $145
  • Strep test + assessment: approximately $100

If medication is provided, additional costs will apply.

Call or visit the pharmacy where you plan to receive testing to confirm whether your insurance is accepted for this service.

Your test will be performed in a private or semiprivate area. You will complete a short health assessment, and then the pharmacist will perform the following steps:

  • Review your symptoms and determine if testing is appropriate.
  • Check vitals such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and oxygen level.
  • Perform a quick point-of-care test if appropriate.

Results are typically available within minutes. Treatment options will be discussed and provided.

If you tested positive, it depends on how severe your illness is. Talk to the pharmacist to determine if vaccination is right for you. If you tested negative, you may be vaccinated if eligible.

Results are typically available during your visit. The pharmacist will review the results with you and provide documentation for your records if needed.

If you test positive and meet eligibility criteria, the pharmacist may recommend and provide treatment (additional costs may apply). You will receive counseling on medications and symptom management. Documentation of your result may be shared with your primary care provider.

If your test result is negative, the pharmacist will review your symptoms and next steps. You may be referred to another healthcare provider if needed. Supportive care recommendations may be provided.

If you continue to feel unwell after a negative test, take the following steps:

  • Follow the pharmacist’s recommendations for symptom management.
  • Monitor your symptoms closely.
  • Seek additional care from your primary care provider or urgent care, especially if symptoms worsen or persist.
