Ingredients

  • Kosher salt, for rimming glass
  • 2 oz tequila
  • 2 oz grapefruit juice
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
  • 2 oz club soda
  • Grapefruit slice (optional for garnish)

Steps

    1. Dampen rim of a Collins glass, then dip into salt; fill glass with ice.
    2. Fill cocktail shaker with ice; add tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and sugar. Shake until sugar dissolves; strain into prepared glass.
    3. Top with club soda. Garnish with grapefruit slice, if desired.

Other Preparation Methods

      Add a touch of mint and berries.
      Muddle 4 fresh mint leaves and 2 strawberries in cocktail shaker before filling with ice, then follow original recipe. Garnish with strawberry.
