Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons matcha powder
- ¼ cup water
- 15 large fresh mint leaves (+ more, optional for garnish)
- 2 tablespoons cane sugar
- ½ oz lemon juice
- 2 oz bourbon
- Crushed ice
Steps
- Place matcha in bowl; add water gradually, whisking to combine into smooth paste.
- Muddle mint leaves and sugar in highball glass. Add bourbon and lemon juice; stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add matcha mixture and a small scoop of ice. Stir to chill, then fill with ice. Serve with mint sprigs, if desired.
Other Preparation Methods
Make it aromatic.
Add a few dashes of bitters.
Not a fan of lemon?
Substitute lime juice for the lemon juice.
