Mint Matcha Julep

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder
  • ¼ cup water
  • 15 large fresh mint leaves (+ more, optional for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons cane sugar
  • ½ oz lemon juice
  • 2 oz bourbon
  • Crushed ice

Steps

    1. Place matcha in bowl; add water gradually, whisking to combine into smooth paste.
    2. Muddle mint leaves and sugar in highball glass. Add bourbon and lemon juice; stir until sugar dissolves.
    3. Add matcha mixture and a small scoop of ice. Stir to chill, then fill with ice. Serve with mint sprigs, if desired.
