Ingredients
- 1 ½ lb boneless grilling steaks (such as ribeye, New York strip, or tenderloin)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons spicy steak seasoning
- ½ cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons cola
Steps
- Preheat grill. Coat steaks on both sides with olive oil and seasoning (wash hands).
- Grill steaks 4–5 minutes on each side and until 125°F (for medium rare; warm red center), 130°F (for medium; warm pink center), or up to 170°F (for well done). Combine barbecue sauce and cola; brush sauce over both sides of steaks during last 2 minutes of cook time.
- Remove steaks from grill; let stand to rest 5 minutes before slicing. Temperature will rise 5–10°F during this time. Serve.
