Whiskey Prosecco Punch with Grape and Mint

Ingredients

For mint syrup
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 oz fresh mint leaves (+ more, optional for garnish)
For punch
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle chilled prosecco
  • 2 cups chilled grape juice
  • 1 cup whiskey
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • Skewers of red grapes (optional for garnish)

Steps

    1. Prepare mint syrup. Combine water and sugar in small saucepan on medium-high. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, stir in mint, and let steep 30 minutes or until cool; strain, discarding mint leaves. Cover syrup and chill at least 2 hours (or up to 2 weeks).
    2. Prepare punch. Combine in punch bowl (or large pitcher): prosecco, grape juice, whiskey, lime juice, and ¼ cup mint syrup; stir until blended.
    3. Garnish with fresh mint and skewers of red grapes, if desired. Serve chilled.
