Ingredients
- 1 loaf Bakery white mountain bread
- ½ cup Deli mayonnaise (or softened unsalted butter)
- Parchment paper
- 4 slices chipotle gouda cheese
- ½ cup sliced fried peppers (or sliced roasted red peppers)
- ½ cup sliced pepperoncini (or banana) peppers
- 4 slices Monterey Jack cheese with jalapeño peppers
- 8 thin slices Deli prosciutto ham
Steps
- Cut bread into 8 (1-inch-thick) slices. Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice, then place mayo-side down on parchment paper.
- Place 1 gouda slice and even amounts both peppers on 4 slices of bread. Place 1 Jack cheese slice and 2 slices prosciutto on remaining 4 slices of bread. Close sandwich (mayonnaise side out).
- Preheat large, nonstick sauté pan on medium 2–3 minutes. Place sandwiches in pan, mayo-side down, and cook 2–3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cheese has melted. Serve.
