Three Pepper Grilled Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Bakery white mountain bread
  • ½ cup Deli mayonnaise (or softened unsalted butter)
  • Parchment paper
  • 4 slices chipotle gouda cheese
  • ½ cup sliced fried peppers (or sliced roasted red peppers)
  • ½ cup sliced pepperoncini (or banana) peppers
  • 4 slices Monterey Jack cheese with jalapeño peppers
  • 8 thin slices Deli prosciutto ham

Steps

    1. Cut bread into 8 (1-inch-thick) slices. Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice, then place mayo-side down on parchment paper.
    2. Place 1 gouda slice and even amounts both peppers on 4 slices of bread. Place 1 Jack cheese slice and 2 slices prosciutto on remaining 4 slices of bread. Close sandwich (mayonnaise side out).
    3. Preheat large, nonstick sauté pan on medium 2–3 minutes. Place sandwiches in pan, mayo-side down, and cook 2–3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cheese has melted. Serve.
