Ingredients
- 1 ¼ lb ground beef
- ½ teaspoon seasoned salt
- 4 slices cooked bacon
- 1 (28 oz) can onion (or homestyle) baked beans
- 3 oz sliced green onions
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 9 slices yellow (or white) American cheese
- 1 (9 ct) package pretzel Hawaiian rolls
- 3 tablespoons dill pickle relish
- 3 tablespoons spicy brown mustard
- ⅔ cup crispy fried onions (optional)
Steps
- Preheat grill (or grill pan) on medium-high. Shape meat into 9 (½-inch-thick) patties; sprinkle with seasoned salt (wash hands). Microwave bacon following package instructions.
- Meanwhile, place beans, green onions, and Worcestershire sauce in large, microwave-safe bowl. Cover and microwave 2–3 minutes until hot. Chop bacon. Fold cheese slices in half diagonally.
- Place patties on grill; cook 2–3 minutes on each side until browned and 160°F. Top each patty with cheese and let melt. Place burgers on bottom buns; top each with 1 tablespoon bean mixture, 1 teaspoon pickles, and 1 teaspoon mustard. Sprinkle with bacon and fried onions, if using. Serve remaining beans on the side.
