Sweet Heat Party Meatballs

Ingredients

  • ½ cup water
  • 2 packages frozen homestyle meatballs (24–32 oz total)
  • ½ cup molasses
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic stir-in paste
  • 2 teaspoons ginger stir-in paste
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 (8 oz) can crushed pineapple
  • Toothpicks, for serving

Steps

    1. Preheat 4-quart stockpot on medium 2–3 minutes. Place water and meatballs in pan. Cover and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    2. Stir in remaining ingredients (except toothpicks; do not drain pineapple); cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, 6–8 minutes until meatballs are glazed and 165°F. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
    Chef's Tip: Ingredients can be combined in slow cooker. Cook on LOW 3–4 hours until sauce thickens and meatballs are 165°F.
