Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon ground paprika
- ½ teaspoon celery salt
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 lb shucked oysters (reserve 1 cup oyster liquid or clam juice)
- 1 cup half & half
Steps
- Preheat medium saucepan on medium 1-2 minutes. Place butter in pan to melt. Stir in paprika, celery salt, Worcestershire, and oysters; bring to a simmer.
- Add reserved oyster liquid and half & half to oysters; simmer 1 more minute (do not boil). Season with salt and pepper. Serve with crusty bread or crackers.
- Other Preparation Methods
- Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F. Stir 1 lb shucked oysters and ¼ cup cooked bacon pieces into 16 oz Publix Deli Spinach Dip; top with panko bread crumbs and cover. Bake 20-25 minutes or until top is golden and mixture is hot. Serve with crackers.
- Fry: Place oysters in buttermilk for 30 minutes. Preheat fryer to 350°F. Remove oysters from milk; toss in corn meal mix and seasoned salt. Fry 2-3 minutes or until browned; serve with rémoulade sauce.
