4 servings
30 minutes total

Ingredients

  • 1 medium tomato
  • 1 small red onion
  • 4 (8 oz) hamburger patties
  • 4 teaspoons steak seasoning
  • 4 slices bacon
  • ½ cup blue cheese crumbles
  • ¼ cup steak sauce
  • 4 teaspoons chunky blue cheese dressing
  • 4 hamburger buns

Steps

    1. Preheat grill (or grill pan) on medium-high. Preheat oven to 400°F. Cut tomato into 4 (½-inch-thick) slices. Cut onion into ½-inch-thick slices. Coat burgers with seasoning (wash hands).
    2. Cook bacon following package oven instructions until crisp; drain and set aside.
    3. Place burgers and onions on grill; cook 3–4 minutes on each side until onions are tender and burgers are grill-marked and 160°F. Top burgers evenly with cheese during last minute of cook time. Remove burgers and onions from grill. Toast buns, if desired. Chop onions coarsely and toss with steak sauce.
    4. Spread dressing evenly on bottom halves of buns. Place burger patties on bottom buns; top evenly with onion mixture, bacon, and tomatoes. Crown with top buns. Serve.
