Slow Cooker Cola Ribs

Ingredients

  • 2–3 lb pork back ribs
  • 4 teaspoons mesquite seasoning
  • 2 cups original barbeque sauce
  • 2 cups cola
  • 3 tablespoons liquid smoke

Steps

    1. Cut each rack into thirds. Coat ribs on both sides with seasoning. Whisk together remaining ingredients.
    2. Add ribs and sauce to slow cooker; cook on HIGH for 3–3 ½ hours or until desired tenderness.
    3. Preheat broiler on HIGH; transfer ribs to foil-lined baking sheet and brush with sauce (from slow cooker). Broil 2–3 minutes or until glazed; serve with extra sauce on side.
Other Preparation Methods
    • Grill: Preheat grill. Combine 2 tablespoons each cider vinegar, hot sauce, maple syrup, Worcestershire sauce, and creole seasoning; coat 3 lb ribs. Wrap ribs in foil; place on grill over indirect heat and cook 3 hours, turning occasionally. Remove foil; brush with barbecue sauce and cook 5 more minutes, turning often.
    • Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F. Place 3 lb ribs on foil-lined baking sheet; coat with 3 tablespoons barbecue seasoning and 2 cups barbecue sauce. Cover and bake 3 hours or until tender.
