Sloppy Joe Rotini
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef, 7% fat (or ground turkey)
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup water
- 2 teaspoons beef base
- 1 (15.5-ounce) can Sloppy Joe sauce
- 1 cup whole kernel corn (drained)
- 2 cups tri-color rotini
Steps
- Preheat large saucepan on medium-high 2-3 minutes. Combine ground beef, garlic, salt, and pepper in saucepan. Brown 5-7 minutes until meat is brown and no pink remains. Stir frequently and break up meat as it cooks.
- Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and bring to boil.
- Reduce to medium and simmer 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until pasta is tender. Serve.
Pinball Salad
Ingredients
- 8 ounces classic salad blend (iceberg lettuce, carrots, red cabbage)
- 1 cup green seedless grapes (rinsed)
- 1 cup grape tomatoes (rinsed)
- 2 tablespoons shelled sunflower seeds
- ½ cup shredded Colby/Monterey Jack cheese
- ¼ cup refrigerated poppy seed dressing
Steps
- Place salad blend in salad bowl.
- Remove grapes from stems. Add with remaining ingredients to salad blend; toss to coat and serve.
