Sautéed Beans with Herbs and Parmesan

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 (14.5-oz) can reduced-sodium chicken broth (or water)
  • 2 tablespoons herb garlic butter
  • 1 tablespoon shredded Parmesan cheese

Steps

    1. Place beans and broth in large sauté pan on medium-high; cook 4–5 minutes or until tender. Drain beans.
    2. Return pan to heat and add beans, butter, and cheese; cook and stir 1–2 minutes to melt butter and blend flavors.
Other Preparation Methods
    • Microwave: Trim 1 lb green beans and place in microwave-safe bowl with 2 tablespoons water. Microwave on HIGH 4–5 minutes or until tender. Season as desired.
    • Boil: Fill medium saucepan with 2 cups water. Add a pinch of salt and bring water to a boil. Boil 1 lb trimmed green beans 5–7 minutes or until tender
