Ingredients

  • 4 oz aged white Cheddar cheese, grated
  • Nonstick aluminum foil
  • 16 oz Bakery sour dough (or Italian) round loaf
  • 2 teaspoons unsalted butter

Steps

    1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line baking sheet with foil. Grate cheese. Cut bread loaf (using a serrated knife) lengthwise 3 times and widthwise 5 times, leaving bottom intact. Place loaf on baking sheet.
    2. Cut butter into small pieces and place over bread then sprinkle with cheese. Bake 3–5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve.
