Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz) bakery rolled pizza dough
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- Cooking spray
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, for dusting
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
Steps
- Let dough stand for 30 minutes to come to room temperature. Coat 11- x 8-inch baking dish with spray. Melt 4 tablespoons butter; set remaining 4 tablespoons out to soften. Combine granulated sugar and cinnamon in small bowl until blended.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Dust work surface with flour. Place dough on surface and stretch into 16- x 10-inch rectangle. Brush evenly with melted butter. Sprinkle evenly with sugar mixture, pressing into dough. Start on long side and roll dough into log, pressing to seal long edge.
- Cut log into 12 (1-inch-thick rolls). Arrange rolls cut-side down in baking dish about ½ inch apart. Bake 20–25 minutes until tops of rolls are golden and centers are set.
- Meanwhile, prepare frosting. Place vanilla and remaining 4 tablespoons softened butter in medium bowl. Beat with electric blender until smooth. Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth and creamy. Add 2–3 tablespoons water and beat until spreadable. Remove dish from oven and let stand to cool 5 minutes before topping with frosting. Serve warm.
