Ingredients

  • 4 medium tomatoes
  • ½ small, fresh jalapeño pepper
  • ½ small red onion
  • ¼ bunch fresh cilantro
  • 1 lime, for juice
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Tortilla chips (optional for serving)

Steps

    1. Chop tomatoes (3 cups) and place in medium bowl, discarding seeds and pulp.
    2. Chop jalapeño, (removing seeds and membranes if desired), onion, and cilantro finely; combine with tomatoes.
    3. Squeeze lime juice over tomato mixture and season with salt; toss to coat. Serve with tortilla chips, if using.
