Orange-Glazed Ham

Ingredients

  • 6 oz frozen orange juice concentrate
  • Aluminum foil
  • 6 ½ lb semi-boneless ham half
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves

Steps

    1. Thaw orange juice concentrate. Preheat oven to 325°F. Line roasting pan with foil; place ham flat-side down in pan.
    2. Whisk orange juice concentrate, brown sugar, honey, and cloves until blended; pour mixture over ham. Cover pan with foil, sealing tightly around edges. Bake 2 hours until ham is 165°F.
    3. Increase oven temperature to 450°F. Remove foil from ham; roast 10 minutes, basting occasionally, until glaze caramelizes. Slice and serve.
Other Preparation Methods
    • Leftovers: Combine in large stockpot: 2 (16 oz) cans navy beans, 3 cups cooked ham chunks, 1 cup chopped onions, ½ cup chopped celery, ½ cup chopped carrots, and 2 cups chicken broth; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender and ham is 165°F. Serve with cornbread.
