Ingredients
- ½ cup sliced green olives with pimientos
- 1 cup giardiniera (pickled vegetables)
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- ¼ cup basil pesto
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 loaf Bakery Italian bread, unsliced
- 1 (8 oz) package sliced smoked ham
- 1 (6 oz) package Deli Italian variety pack (prosciutto, capicola, and dry salami)
- 8 slices provolone cheese (about 7 oz)

Steps
- Drain olives. Combine giardiniera, olives, and vinegar in small bowl. Combine pesto and olive oil in another small bowl. Halve bread lengthwise; spread both sides evenly with pesto mixture.
- Place ham and variety pack evenly on bottom piece of bread; top with cheese and olive mixture. Cover with top piece of bread, wrap tightly in plastic wrap, and refrigerate 1 hour. Unwrap sandwich and use serrated knife to cut into 8 pieces. Serve.
Other Preparation Methods
- Side: Cut bread into 1-inch-thick slices; toast. Slather with unsalted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder for quick Texas toast.
- Garnish: Tear bread into pieces and simmer in tomato soup for a Tuscan-style treat.
