Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon warm water
- ¾ oz lemon juice
- 2 oz Irish whiskey
- ½ oz sweet vermouth
- Splash of seltzer water
- Lemon twist (optional for garnish)
Steps
- Mix honey and warm water until dissolved to make honey syrup.
- Fill cocktail shaker with ice; add ½ oz honey syrup and remaining ingredients (except seltzer and garnish).
- Shake well; strain into an ice-filled Collins glass.
- Top with seltzer water. Garnish with lemon twist, if desired.
Other Preparation Methods
Make it a citrus fizz.
Substitute orange-flavored liqueur for the sweet vermouth for more citrus flavor.
Add some more zing.
Substitute lime juice for the lemon juice and ginger ale or ginger beer for the seltzer water.
