Ingredients
- 2 cups coleslaw mix
- ¼ cup lemon vinaigrette
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ cup roasted red peppers
- 1 ½ lb ground chuck
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup crispy fried onions
- Cooking spray
- ½ cup sweet and spicy barbecue sauce
- 4 hamburger buns
Steps
- Preheat grill (or grill pan) on medium-high. Combine coleslaw, vinaigrette, and salt until blended; set aside. Chop peppers.
- Combine ground chuck, cheddar, onions, and peppers until blended. Form meat into 4 patties (wash hands). Coat patties on both sides with spray and place on grill; grill 4–5 minutes on each side until burgers are grill-marked and 160°F.
- Spread 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce on insides of each bun. Place burgers on bottom halves of buns; top each with ½ cup coleslaw and top half of bun. Serve.
