6 servings
1 hour, 20 minutes total (Active 30 minutes)

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs (or 1 cup egg substitute)
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onions
  • Pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 frozen deep-dish pie shell
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter
  • 4 oz sliced white mushrooms
  • 4 oz cooked, diced ham
  • ½ teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese, divided

Steps

    1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Whisk eggs, cream, onions, and nutmeg in medium bowl until blended. Place pie shell on baking sheet; prick bottom of shell with fork. Bake 10 minutes or until golden.
    2. Meanwhile, preheat large sauté pan on medium-high 2–3 minutes. Place butter in pan and swirl to coat. Add mushrooms and cook 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned. Add ham and steak seasoning to mushrooms; cook 1 minute, stirring often, to blend flavors.
    3. Spoon ham and mushroom mixture evenly into pie shell. Pour in egg mixture and sprinkle with ¾ cup cheese. Bake 30 minutes or until set.
    4. Sprinkle with remaining ¼ cup cheese; bake 10 more minutes or until cheese melts. Let stand 10 minutes; serve.
