Grilled Pork Shoulder Steaks

Ingredients

  • Large zip-top bag
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 lb bone-in pork shoulder blade steaks
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil

Steps

    1. Combine in zip-top bag: brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, pineapple juice, ginger, and garlic powder. Add pork (wash hands), seal bag, and knead to coat. Chill 2 hours (or overnight) to marinate.
    2. Preheat grill (or grill pan) on medium-high. Remove pork from bag (discard marinade) and coat with oil. Grill pork 10–12 minutes on each side until 145°F. Remove from grill and let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing; temperature will rise 5–10°F during this time. Serve.
