Ingredients
- 16 large GreenWise romaine leaves
- 4 slices GreenWise provolone cheese
- 1 ¼ lb GreenWise lean ground beef
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ¾ teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons GreenWise ketchup
- 3 tablespoons GreenWise yellow mustard
- 1 (8 oz) bag GreenWise sweet potato tortilla chips
Steps
- Place romaine leaves on platter, curved-side up. Cut cheese slices in half. Divide meat evenly into 8 portions, then flatten into patties and season with salt and pepper (wash hands).
- Preheat large, nonstick sauté pan on medium-high 2–3 minutes. Add oil to pan, then patties. Cook patties 2–3 minutes on each side until browned and 160°F. Top with cheese, cover, and remove pan from heat; let stand 1–2 minutes for cheese to melt.
- Make 8 stacks of 2 romaine leaves each; bend slightly in the center, but do not break. Place patties on bottom halves of leaves, then divide ketchup and mustard evenly among patties. Top each burger with 3–4 chips and fold lettuce over burger to form a lettuce bun; serve with remaining chips on the side.
