Ingredients
- 3 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth (or stock)
- 4 oz Deli smoked Gouda (or Gruyère) cheese
- 1 cup quick-cooking grits
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
Steps
- Place broth in medium saucepan; bring to a boil on medium-high. Shred cheese.
- Add grits to broth, whisk to combine, and reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until smooth and creamy.
- Remove from heat; stir in cheese, salt, and pepper. Serve.
