Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon salted butter
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 (10 oz) package diced frozen onions
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 (14.5 oz) can chicken broth
- 2 cups reduced-fat milk
- 1 (20 oz) package refrigerated mashed potatoes
- 2 teaspoons steak seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon base
- 2 tablespoons dried chives
Steps
- Preheat medium saucepan on medium-high 1–2 minutes. Place butter and minced garlic in pan; cook and stir 1 minute. Add onions; cover and cook 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir flour into pan; cook 1 minute stirring frequently. Stir in broth, milk, potatoes, steak seasoning, granulated garlic, and bouillon base. Stir to mix well; cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer 11 minutes, stirring often.
- Stir in chives, cover, and simmer 4 minutes. Serve.
