Ingredients

  • Nonstick aluminum foil
  • 8 slices cooked bacon
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 medium, ripe bananas
  • 4 Publix Bakery Brioche Hotdog Buns
  • 8 tablespoons creamy (or chunky) peanut butter, divided
  • 4 teaspoons honey, divided

Steps

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheet with foil. Heat bacon following package instructions; melt butter. Cut bananas in half lengthwise.
    2. Open buns and place on baking sheet. Spread 2 tablespoons peanut butter inside each bun, then add 2 bacon slices, 1 banana half, and 1 teaspoon honey.
    3. Close sandwiches; brush tops with melted butter. Bake 6–8 minutes until sandwiches are warmed through and tops are slightly crisp.
Other Preparation Methods
    • Lunch: Combine cooked salad shrimp with mayonnaise, celery, and lemon juice. Place mixture in hotdog bun.
    • Hot dog: Fill steamed buns with hot dogs, pickle spears, relish, tomato slices, hot peppers, and celery salt for authentic Chicago-style hot dogs.
