Ingredients
- 5 tablespoons brown sugar
- 5 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup white whole wheat flour
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- ⅓ cup peanut butter powder
- 1 pint mason jar with lid
- For baking
- Nonstick aluminum foil
- 2 medium bananas
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup water
- ⅓ cup semisweet chocolate chips
Steps
- Assemble gift jar. Layer dry ingredients in jar in order listed. Place lid tightly on jar; attach baking ingredients and instructions.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheet with foil. Place contents of jar in large bowl; whisk to combine.
- Place bananas in small bowl and mash with fork. Add egg and water to bananas; whisk to blend. Add banana mixture to cookie mixture and stir to blend into a dough. Stir (fold) in chocolate chips.
- Scoop cookies (about 1 tablespoon each) onto prepared baking sheet. Bake 18–20 minutes until edges are crisp and centers are 160°F; serve.
