Ingredients
- 8 oz Deli goat cheese
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 cup plain panko bread crumbs
- Cooking spray
- 1 tablespoon honey
Steps
- Form cheese into 24 small balls. Place on baking sheet and freeze 20 minutes or until firm.
- Preheat air fryer to 390°F. Combine flour and salt in shallow dish. Whisk eggs and water in second dish. Place bread crumbs in third dish. Roll cheese balls in flour to coat evenly, dip into egg (letting excess drip off), and coat with bread crumbs, pressing with fingertips to adhere (wash hands).
- Coat cheese balls with spray, then arrange in even layer in air fryer basket. Cook 4–5 minutes until golden. Drizzle with honey; serve.
Other Preparation Methods
- Spread: Combine equal parts softened goat cheese and salted butter. Spread on toasted bread, cooked chicken, or grilled steak.
- Appetizer: Scoop (or form) goat cheese into bite-size balls and roll in finely chopped pecan pralines.
