Creamy Basil Spaghetti with Shrimp and Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 1 lb extra-large white shrimp
  • 16 oz spaghetti pasta
  • 10 oz frozen broccoli florets
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 (12 oz) container basil pesto cream sauce
  • 1 oz Parmesan cheese

Steps

    1. Thaw shrimp following package instructions, then peel (wash hands).
    2. Bring water to a boil for pasta. Cook and drain pasta following package instructions. Cook and drain broccoli following package microwave instructions.
    3. Preheat large sauté pan on medium 2–3 minutes. Season shrimp with salt. Place olive oil and shrimp in pan. Cook 2–3 minutes, stirring often, until shrimp are pink and opaque. Reduce heat to low. Stir in cream sauce; simmer 2 minutes or until sauce is thoroughly heated. Remove from heat, add pasta and drained broccoli to pan, and toss to coat. Grate cheese over pasta; serve.
