Ingredients
- 1 ½ oz cinnamon whisky
- ¾ oz maple syrup
- 2 dashes orange bitters
- 3 oz orange juice
- Strip of orange peel
Steps
- Place all ingredients (except garnish) in cocktail shaker; shake well.
- Add ice to cocktail shaker and shake 10–15 more seconds; strain into an ice-filled old fashioned glass.
- Rub rim of glass with orange peel; float peel in drink as garnish.
Other Preparation Methods
Make it an agave cocktail.
Substitute 2 oz añejo tequila and ½ oz agave nectar for the cinnamon whisky and maple syrup; garnish with freshly grated cinnamon.
Make it an island-style old fashioned.
Substitute dark rum for the cinnamon whisky and add a splash of maraschino cherry juice.
