Ingredients
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger
- 1 lemon, for juice
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro
- 4 green onions
- 1 small, fresh jalapeño pepper
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ cup canola oil
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
Steps
- Peel ginger. Juice lemon (1 tablespoon). Chop ginger (1 tablespoon), cilantro (1 cup), green onions, and jalapeño coarsely. Place lemon juice, ginger, cilantro, green onions, jalapeños, sugar, and cumin in blender (or food processor bowl). Blend until smooth.
- Drizzle in oil slowly with blender running. Stir in salt; serve. (Makes about 1 ½ cups.)
