Cilantro Basmati Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon grapeseed oil
  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 2 cups water
  • ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Steps

    1. Heat oil in 3-quart saucepot over high for 2–3 minutes; add rice and stir to coat. Sauté rice, stirring occasionally, until lightly toasted.
    2. Stir in water and cover pot with lid. Bring to a boil in about 4 minutes (there should be steam coming out from under the lid). Remove pot from heat and set aside 20–25 minutes (do not remove lid).
    3. Stir in cilantro and salt before serving.
