Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 ½ lb ground chicken
- ½ teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1 (12 oz) bottle chili sauce
- ⅓ cup diced fresh yellow onions
- 4 hamburger buns
Steps
- Preheat large sauté pan on medium-high 2–3 minutes. Place oil in pan, then add chicken and seasoned salt; brown 5–7 minutes, stirring to crumble meat, until no pink remains and chicken is 165°F.
- Stir in chili sauce and onions. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook 5–7 minutes for onions to soften. Serve on buns.
Other Preparation Methods
- Slow cook: Combine in slow cooker: 1 ½ lb ground chicken, 2 tablespoons chili powder, 2 (15 oz) cans seasoned chili beans, and 2 (15 oz) cans diced tomatoes. Cook on HIGH 2 hours until chicken is 165°F. Serve with favorite chili toppings.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine 1 ½ lb ground chicken and 16 oz prepared salsa; place in baking dish. Bake 20–25 minutes until 165°F. Top with 3 cups tortilla chips and 2 cups shredded Mexican-style cheese blend. Bake 5 more minutes to melt cheese.
