Ingredients
- 16 frozen breaded chicken nuggets
- 16 (6-inch) wooden skewers
- 1 ½ cups dry Belgian waffle mix*
- ⅔ cup water
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 large egg (or ¼ cup egg substitute)
- Cooking spray
- 1 cup Buffalo wing sauce
- ⅓ cup dill relish
- 2 teaspoons sriracha sauce
- ¼ cup maple syrup
Steps
- Preheat waffle iron on medium. Place nuggets on flat surface and thread each onto 1 skewer.
- Prepare waffle mix following package instructions (using listed water, oil, and egg). Coat waffle iron with spray. Dip skewered chicken into batter, covering completely; place 3–4 skewers at a time on waffle iron, 1 inch apart. Cook 3–4 minutes until golden and 165°F. Repeat with remaining skewers.
- Combine wing sauce, relish, and sriracha. Drizzle waffle pops with maple syrup; serve with sauce.
