Ingredients
- 1 ½ lb ground beef
- ½ cup egg substitute
- ½ cup prediced yellow onions
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup cheese crackers, finely crushed
- ½ cup Thousand Island dressing
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine in medium bowl: ground beef, egg, onions, cheese, and crackers until blended. Form mixture into loaf; place on a foil-lined baking sheet (or in loaf pan).
- Bake 30 minutes. Pour dressing over loaf, bake 5–10 more minutes until hot and beef is 160°F.
Other Preparation Methods
- Sauté: Preheat large, nonstick sauté pan on medium-high 3 minutes. Combine in medium bowl: 1 ½ lb ground beef, 1 egg, ⅓ cup presliced green onions, and ¾ cup panko bread crumbs. Roll into 1-inch balls. Cook 8 minutes, turning often, and until 160°F. Toss with ¼ cup hoisin sauce.
- Grill: Preheat grill. Combine in medium bowl: 1 ½ lb ground beef, 1 egg, ½ cup prediced onions, and 1 tablespoon steakhouse onion seasoning. Form into 4 patties; grill 4 minutes on each side and until 160°F.
