Carne Asada with Salsa

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thin-sliced top round steak
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons Complete seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 lime, for juice
  • 1 ripe Hass avocado
  • ½ cup mild fresh salsa

Steps

    1. Preheat large sauté pan on medium-high 2–3 minutes. Rub both sides of steak with garlic and Complete seasoning (wash hands). Place oil in pan, then add steak; cook 3–4 minutes on first side or until well-browned.
    2. Squeeze juice of one-half lime over steak. Flip steak and cook 3–4 minutes on second side until steak is 170°F (well done).
    3. Cut avocado into quarters, then scoop out flesh and cut into bite-size pieces.
    4. Remove steak from pan; squeeze juice of remaining half lime over steak. Let stand 5 minutes; top with avocado and salsa. Serve.
