Ingredients

  • 4 gourmet steakhouse burgers (about 2 lb)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 4 slices Havarti (or mozzarella) cheese
  • 4 brioche hamburger buns
  • 4 Campari tomatoes
  • ¼ cup creamy Parmesan (or Caesar) dressing
  • 4 leaves green leaf lettuce
  • ¼ cup basil pesto
  • 4 teaspoons balsamic glaze

Steps

    1. Preheat grill (or grill pan) on medium-high. Season burgers with salt and pepper (wash hands). Place burgers on grill; cook 3–4 minutes on each side until 160°F.
    2. Top burgers with cheese and let melt. Toast buns if desired. Slice each tomato into thirds. Spread dressing evenly on bottom halves of buns.
    3. Place lettuce on top of dressing; add burgers. Place 3 slices tomato on top half of each bun; dollop with 1 tablespoon pesto and drizzle with 1 teaspoon glaze each. Serve.
