Ingredients
- 3 medium tangelos, thinly sliced
- 3 cups water
- 3 cups sugar
Steps
- Slice tangelos ¼-inch-thick with a serrated knife. Arrange tangelos in single layer in a deep, wide saucepan. Combine water and sugar.
- Pour water mixture over tangelos and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 60–70 minutes or until liquid is reduced by half and rinds becomes tender.
- Transfer candied tangelos to a wire rack over a baking sheet in a single layer. Let stand 2 hours (or overnight) to dry. Serve.
