Cajun-Style Beans and Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon garlic-herb butter
  • ½ cup diced fresh red onions
  • 1 teaspoon creole (or Cajun) seasoning
  • 1 (16 oz) can light red kidney beans
  • 1 (8.8 oz) pouch cooked white rice

Steps

    1. Preheat large saucepan on medium-high 2–3 minutes. Place butter in pan, then add onions and seasoning; cook and stir 4–5 minutes until onions are browned.
    2. Add beans and rice; cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer 8–10 minutes until hot. Serve.
