Bronzed Salmon
4 servings
20 minutes total

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons grapeseed oil
  • 4 (6-oz) salmon fillets, skin removed
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Steps

    1. Combine in medium sauté pan: paprika, cumin, garlic powder, coriander, and turmeric until blended. Toast spice mixture 3–4 minutes, stirring continuously, over medium-high. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
    2. Heat oil in large sauté pan on medium-high 2–3 minutes. Season salmon with salt and pepper then coat with spice mixture. Add salmon to pan and sear 8 minutes on one side, until browned. Turn fillets over and cook 3 more minutes and until 145˚F (and opaque and separates easily). Serve.
Always check fish for bones, and cook to an internal temperature of 145˚F.
