Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 (12-oz) bag red presliced apples
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Steps
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat; whisk in brown sugar until smooth. Combine apples with sugar mixture.
- Arrange apple slices in 9-inch square baking dish; top with cinnamon and sugar. Bake 25–30 minutes or until apples are soft and dark brown.
Other Preparation Methods
- Bake: Thaw 1 sheet puff pastry dough until soft, but still cold. Preheat oven to 425°F. Cut pastry into six squares; place apples in center and top each with 1 tablespoon butter. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon cinnamon-sugar, then bring sides of pastry up and pinch together. Bake 15–17 minutes or until golden. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
