When to Enjoy

Grab plums at their peak in late August.

  • If you want to eat your plum or plumcot today, choose one that yields to gentle pressure.
  • A slightly firmer fruit will ripen nicely at room temperature. Once it is soft and sweet, you can refrigerate it for two to three days.
  • To freeze plums and plumcots, pit them first.
