Kills Fleas and Ticks on Contact. Nylar Provides up to 14 weeks control of fleas on surfaces. Veterinary Formula Flea & Tick Spray for Dogs contains a combination of ingredients that provide rapid knockdown and kill of the listed insects. This highly effective water-based formula can be used on dogs. The combination of ingredients in Veterinary Formula Flea & Tick Spray for Dogs kills adult fleas and ticks on contact. The first active ingredient is the botanical, Pyrethrum, an extract of a Chrysanthemum flower, which provides effective knockdown and quick-kill of all listed insects. The second active ingredient is Permethrin, a synthetic pyrethroid, which gives residual long term control of fleas, up to 14 days on your dog and up to 14 weeks on surfaces. The third active ingredient is Nylar, the insect growth regulator which inhibits the development of the immature stages of the flea for 100 days on surfaces preventing them from reaching the adult stage. Start spraying dog at the tail, making sure to spray entire coat of the dog, including legs, tail, and underbody. With a soft pet brush or gloved hands, fluff hair against the way it normally lays to ensure the spray penetrates through coat to the skin. Refer to chart above to apply the appropriate amount of product to dog. Do not exceed the maximum number of pump spray applications for dog's body weight. Do not saturate the dog and do not spray in face or eyes or on genitals. Do not apply more often than once every 14 days. For use in dog areas: Treat dog bedding and other dog resting places, as these are primary hiding areas for fleas and ticks; no need to remove dog bedding after treatment. To reduce infestation, spray around sleeping areas, baseboards, window and door frames, wall cracks, local areas of floors, and other resting places until the surface is slightly moist. Also spray the entire inside surface of dog houses and kennels. Do not allow any pets to use treated areas until completely dry. For best results, to protect your dog against and to minimize reintroduction of adult fleas from outdoors, at least 14 days after direct application of this product to your dog, reuse this product following the Directions for Use or use another EPA registered flea and tick product, flea or flea and tick collar, pet powder, pet spray, pet dip, pet shampoo , flea shampoo, or flea and tick pet shampoo. Always read the product label and follow the directions for use. Storage and Disposal: Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage and disposal. Pesticide Storage: Store in a cool, dry area. Always store pesticides in the original container. Store away from food and pet food. Pesticide Disposal and Container Handling: Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. If Empty: Place in trash or offer for recycling if available. If Partly Filled: Call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.
