Adjusting your filter to fit the correct size: Step 1: Place new filter directly under the old filter as shown. The two filters should be touching. Step 2: Align the right or left edge flush with top or bottom edge. Step 3: Cut along lines of the old filter using scissors or a utility knife to ensure a fit right for your furnace. Step 4: When the sizes match, the new filter is ready for installation. Step 5: Install the new filter so the air flows in through the fiber side and out through the net side.
