Microwave (Microwave ovens vary; adjust cook time as needed): 1. Combine in medium microwave-safe bowl 1 cup water (or milk), 1/2 cup oats, and dash of salt, if desired. 2. Microwave on high for 2-1/2 to 3 minutes until thickened. 3. Carefully remove bowl from microwave, stir and let stand 1 minute before serving. Tip: Use less water (or milk) for thicker oatmeal.
