Northeastern Spain is the birthplace of Garnacha, the workhorse grape of the western Mediterra- nean. On rocky schist soils at high elevation, vines up to a century old thrive in this seemingly inhospitable environment. These vines inspired Eric Solomon to create Evodia, a Garnacha that captures the aromatic vibrancy and peppery fruit flavors characteristic of this variety when grown in the land of its birth.
