Use: Raises alkalinity to regulate pH, protect equipment and surface for optimal chlorine effectiveness and improve swimmer comfort. Test & Balance: Test monthly. Test water before using this product. While walking around edge of pool, broadcast product evenly across the deepest area while pool is not in use and pump is running. Dosage: If total alkalinity is below recommended range for your pool type, add this product using the dosage chart below. Pool Type: Plaster; Ideal Total Alkalinity: 80 - 125 ppm. Vinyl Liner & Fiberglass; Ideal Total Alkalinity: 125 - 150 ppm. Alkalinity Increaser Dosages: To Raise Total Alkalinity: 30 ppm; 4 lb (Add per 10,000 gallons); 40 ppm; 6 lb (Add per 10,000 gallons); 50 ppm; 7 lb (Add per 10,000 gallons); 60 ppm; 9 lb (Add per 10,000 gallons); 80 ppm; 12 lb (Add per 10,000 gallons); 100 ppm; 15 lb (Add per 10,000 gallons). For Best Results: Allow the pool to circulate for two hours then retest the total alkalinity level. Add more product if needed. Brush any undissolved clumps off surface of pool to avoid surface damage. Re-Entry: After adjusting total alkalinity, test pH and adjust if necessary. Storage and Disposal: Keep this product dry in original tightly closed container when not in use. Store a cool, dry, well ventilated area. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not reuse container. Rinse empty container thoroughly before discarding in trash or recycling.
