Product details Red Wine Blend is sourced from Grenache and Syrah grapes in Monterey County. During the spring and summer months coastal fog rolls into the region in the evenings and persists until mid morning the next day, resulting in a longer growing season that produces intense varietal characteristics. The Grenache is cold soaked for 24 hours and both the Grenache and Syrah undergo a custom pump over process to ensure proper extraction levels are achieved. A portion of the wine is aged in American Oaks barrels while the remainder is matured in tank to ensure the perfect balance during blending. Blackberries and fresh raspberry and blueberry aromas with notes of dried fig and crushed violets lead to flavors of juicy black cherries, plum and cocoa. Round, velvety and full-bodied on the palette, this Grenache and Syrah red blend gracefully finishes with subtle hints of spice. Good acidity and fine tannins allow this wine to pair well with a variety of foods such as mild cheddar and smoked cheeses, pasta in tomato-based sauces, barbecued brisket and braised pork.
