1 1/2 oz vodka
3 oz tomato juice
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 splash lemon juice
2–3 drops hot pepper sauce
Black pepper, to taste
Celery salt, to taste
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish (optional)
Celery stick and lime wedge, for garnish


  1. Fill a highball glass with ice; add all ingredients (except garnish).
  2. Stir well.
  3. Top with celery and garnish with lime wedge.

Other Preparation Methods

Make it for a crowd.
Make 6 servings by placing in a pitcher: 9 oz vodka (1 cup + 2 tablespoons), 4 cups tomato juice, 1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire, juice of lemon, 3/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, 3/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon celery salt, and 1 1/2 tablespoons prepared horseradish (optional). Stir well.

Add a little heat.
Use spicy tomato vegetable juice and extra drops of hot pepper sauce.

Food pairing:
Serve with Squash Quiche with Thyme and Mozzarella.
