Brace yourself, folks, because we have exciting news: Vaccines are available right at the Publix Pharmacy. Now we know what you’re thinking—vaccines do not qualify as exciting news. But how about this: We’ll bill Medicare and most insurance plans, and you don’t even need an appointment. Bet it’s sounding more exciting now, isn’t it?

|Vaccine||Who Needs One|
|Pneumonia||Everyone over 65 years old and those 19–64 who have a chronic medical condition.|
|Shingles||All adults over 50 years old, including those already vaccinated, should get the new and more effective Shingrix vaccine.|
|Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and whooping cough)||Everyone once as an adult, especially anyone who plans to come in contact with newborns or infants. Pregnant women should also get a dose with each pregnancy.|
|Tetanus||All adults, with a booster every 10 years.|
|Hepatitis A||Anyone at risk for the disease, anyone who wants to be protected from hepatitis A, or travelers to countries with high reported rates of hepatitis A.|
|Hepatitis B||Anyone managing diabetes or in contact with blood, travelers to regions with increased rate of hepatitis B, or anyone who wants to be protected from hepatitis B.|
|Meningitis||First-year college students who live in residential housing (if not previously vaccinated at 16 or older), military recruits, or travelers to countries with high reported rates of meningitis.|
|HPV||All adults through age 26 years and certain adults up to age 45.|
|Measles, mumps & rubella||College students, international travelers, healthcare personnel, and adults born during or after 1957 who do not have evidence of immunity.|
|Varicella||Everyone born in 1980 or later, healthcare personnel with no evidence of immunity to varicella regardless of date of birth, and international travelers.|
|Influenza||Everyone, one dose annually.|
